I lost my beloved Marley to Lymphoma a little over a month ago. Since then, my heart has been slow to mend – not sure if it will ever fully recover – but now that Fall is here and the shows are starting to line up, it’s time to get back to work in the studio despite how empty it seems. Marley was our family dog and my constant companion for over ten years. There are no words to describe just how devastating his loss feels. The only consolation I have is knowing that he had the best life a dog could ever ask for, and was dearly loved by everyone who knew him. Such a sweet, go-lucky happy guy.
This was the last photo I took of my dog watching my husband on the dock after what ended up being his final boat ride. It is now my favorite – and more precious than I can say.
